There are two kinds of people: those that enjoy public speaking, and those that break into a sweat at the mere thought of it. If you consider yourself a member of the latter group, we want to help you change that. From the Boardroom to a Ballroom, there will be times in your life where speaking in front of an audience is necessary, so why not learn to be good at it? Join us May 25th for a public speaking workshop where our facilitator, Elizabeth Stephens of Toastmasters, will not only help you be more comfortable with public speaking, but actually embrace it. There's a confident, assertive public speaker in everyone and it's time to tap into yours.

Program Agenda:

  • Tips on business networking
  • Effectively leading and influencing groups in meetings and building tours
  • Tips for Successful Presentations

Facilitator: Elizabeth Stephens is enthusiastic about Toastmasters (www.toastmasters.org) and the many learning opportunities she has to become a better speaker and leader in the community where she lives and works. Many have benefited from her skills as she facilitated meetings and workshops in business, at churches, and in community organizations.  She shares the benefits of Toastmasters with audiences around the world.  Elizabeth is currently a member of Master Evaluators Toastmasters and is serving as President of American General Toastmasters.    She previously served as an Area Director and is currently a candidate for Division Director.  Elizabeth is the Founder and Principal of Your Scholarship Coach (www.yourscholarshipcoach.com), a consulting service that shows high school students and parents how to obtain a college education at little or no cost.  She is a Coordinator for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, where she facilitates classes for individuals and families highlighting budgeting, debt-reduction, investing, and more.  Elizabeth is a native of Dallas, TX. She graduated from Florida A&M University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
